HME has an immediate direct hire opening for a SMT Touch-Up Operator I. Job duties include inspection and performing touch-up soldering and repair of components for all surface mount printed circuit boards under a microscope. This position will be on 2nd shift working Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 10:30pm.
Essential Job Functions
Uses microscope to verify correct part placement and orientation, manually align parts before soldering and perform post re-flow inspection and touch-up.
Maintains general cleanliness of the SMT Production area and equipment.
Maintains quality records as instructed by Supervisor.
Requirements:
Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar position and have above average surface mount, thru-hole, and fine pitch soldering skills.
Ability to work under a microscope for long periods of time to perform inspection.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and assembly drawings.
Strong communication and organizational skills and ability to work in a team oriented environment.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working in a LEAN Manufacturing environment
Strong leadership, mentoring and training aptitude
IPC-610 Certification
IPC J-STD-001 Certification
