We are looking for a Buyer/ Planner with a thorough and practical knowledge of the technical and/or business discipline. May be assigned to small projects or to phases/portions of larger projects. Developing experience in the applicable discipline in solution creation and increasing business knowledge. Provide resolution to various problems of moderately complex scope. Exercises judgment in the use of defined procedures and practices. Proficient in the basic job responsibilities. Excellent communication skills and experience with vendor negotiations.

Responsibilities:
Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of materials through the production cycle to determine required materials for consumables, and mechanical /electrical components. Purchases materials, using engineering and production schedules to maintain inventory at planned levels. Gathers quotations, examines bids and makes awards. Develops specifications for new contract orders. Contacts are typically with other members of the team, management, and/or outside the immediate organization.
Obtain materials, components and equipment. Evaluate vendor reliability, develop new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate. Monitor cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.

Required Skills:
Understand and apply principles, theories, concepts, and techniques utilized in the discipline. Proficient with tools, systems, and procedures required by the work. Exercises judgment in the use of defined procedures and practices. Mastered most of the basic job responsibilities. Bachelor's degree with 2-4 year's experience. Experience with Oracle and using MRP systems is required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
