Expediter I

Under direct supervision, performs routing, dispatching, material handling and follow-up duties to determine the status of materials, accessories, components, assemblies, etc.
Expedites movement and deliveries to meet schedule requirements.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
Expedite the movement of materials, parts and assemblies to and from the stockroom and production floor.
Inform appropriate personnel of problem areas and unplanned delays on schedule changes.
Takes appropriate action to alleviate the causes creating a deviation from schedule, as needed.
Investigate the status of work in process or in receiving; gathers and compiles data and prepares and submits records, reports, and other paperwork necessary for appropriate accountability, suggesting action to be taken when serious deviations from commitments occur.
Performs daily follow-up to ensure the timely flow of work and deliveries to meet schedules.
Coordinate liaison contacts between Manufacturing, Engineering, Production Control, Field Service Material Control, etc.
where required to ensure parts completion per schedule.
Performs other duties as required.
Supervisory Responsibility:
High school education or equivalent.
Minimum of two years general experience in a similar environment with minimum of one year directly related manufacturing experience required.
Must be familiar with parts and production or material control procedures.
Skills/Technical Requirements:
Good oral and written communication and basic math skills.
Intermediate Excel experience preferred.
Must be detail oriented Knowledge of MRP system, Syspro preferred.
Job Conditions:
Constant or intermittent noise, variations of temperature.
Physical Demands/Strengths:
Walking, sitting, standing, bending.
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
Protective Devices Required:
In required areas.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
