Job Summary The Production Planner position is detail-oriented and experienced in creation, modification and management of production schedules.
The production planner's responsibilities include monitoring inventory levels, regularly providing production status updates to management, and facilitating the timely delivery of products to customers.
This role must also closely monitor the production process to ensure that production orders are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate purchase orders to create suitable production schedules.
Estimate the amount of material, equipment, and labor required for production.
Promptly address and resolve production issues to minimize delays in production.
Coordinate production operations in accordance with material, labor, and equipment availability.
Recommend viable solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality.
Affect changes to production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met.
Compile status and performance reports and submit them to management in a timely manner.
Promptly inform the relevant departments of changes to current production schedules.
Experience:
Previous production planning experience preferably in the electronic manufacturing environment Methodical in methods Ability to interact with diverse groups of technical and non-technical people Ability to work alone and within a team A keen eye for detail and a great attitude Excellent English communication skills Excellent knowledge of Word/Excel/Ppt Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
