Liaison Engineering Supervisor

This position serves as a supervisor to a team of Mechanical Engineering Liaison Engineers providing key engineering support services in the manufacturing areas.
The team is responsible for the evaluation, documentation, presentation and resolution of hardware anomalies and design issues in the factory and in the supply chain.
The supervisor provides job assignments and serves as a consulting resource of engineering knowledge to team members.
Team assignments include providing Material Review Board (MRB) dispositions for non-conforming hardware.
The team also initiates drawing changes to resolve manufacturability, quality and design/drawing issues.
Decisions for solutions take into account cost, quality and schedule considerations.
Multidisciplinary interaction and collaboration with representatives from customers, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, programs, design engineering and company management are an essential part of the job.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Act as the primary contact for the team, assuring that internal and customer needs are identified and addressed Assign, supervise and direct the work of Engineers/Designers and oversee their output for completeness, consistency, timeliness and accuracy Represent the group in design reviews and other meetings with internal teams or customers Monitor and maintain budgetary controls Make recommendations on human resources actions (e.
g.
staffing, training, compensation, etc.

Qualifications:
Typically requires a bachelors degree, masters degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; nine or more years of experience with a bachelors degree, seven or more years of experience with a masters degree, or four or more years with a PhD.
May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.
Demonstrates an extensive technical expertise and application of engineering principles, concepts, theory, and practice with the ability to organize, plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones with some experience in project leadership.
Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required enabling an effective interface with other departments and/or professionals, and capable of representing the organization as a prime technical contact, as well as providing leadership and guidance to less experienced professionals.
Customer focused, formulates plans based on the development of innovative new designs in resolving advanced technical engineering problems.
Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
Ability to obtain and maintain DOD Security Clearance is required.
A Professional Engineering License, original work(s) published in professional engineering journals, and invited to present one or more original works to an engineering symposium are desirable.
Salary:
$105,890 - $189,545Salary:
$105890 - $189545 per year.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
